Finding a Tutor

  1. To submit a request, complete the Request a Tutor form located in the 'Find Tutors' tab. You will be able to include what course you need assistance in, how often you would like to meet, and what exactly you would like to cover!

  2. Tutors will review your request and respond with their offers to help.

  3. Review tutor offers to determine which tutor is best for you.

  4. Schedule a tutoring session with your preferred tutor.

Requests will stay open for 7 full days and close if no offers are sent by the notified tutors. If your request closes before you hear back from a tutor, be sure to submit a new request!

FAQs

What if I want a specific tutor?

If you want to connect with a specific tutor, feel free to search for their name and request them directly.

Where can I view my previous requests?

To view your previously submitted requests, head into your "History" sub-tab, located above the blue "Request a Peer Tutor" button.

How long does it take to receive offers from tutors?

It depends on the course, but rest assured that all qualified tutors will be notified of your request immediately! If it happens to be the case that no tutor responds to the request within 1 week, the Request For Tutor will be automatically canceled after that period of time. Another request will have to be submitted. If you haven't heard back from a tutor and need help now, we recommend that you search for tutors and direct message them! You can find more information here on how to do that.
