Asynchronous support is best utilized when you are unable to meet with a live tutor or have a quick question. We still recommend that you seek peer tutoring because research has shown that it directly correlates with an increase in academic performance, socialization, self-esteem, and a positive attitude toward school.

  1. Navigate to the 'Find tutors' page
This can be found at the top-right of your screen.

  2. Click on the 'Submit a question or paper' button
This is located at the bottom of your screen.

  3. Fill out the 'Submit a question or paper' form
Select the subject that you need help in and provide details about your question.* You can format your question, add equations, and even strings of code. Use whatever you need to clearly get your message across. The more specific, the better!

  4. Click the 'Submit for review' button when you're done
You can expect to receive a response within 24 hours. All submissions can be viewed and edited in the 'Submissions' tab located at the top right of your screen. You’ll also notifications when a tutor has responded.

*At Knack, we prioritize academic integrity. If a question appears to violate our academic policy by seeking direct answers or completion of assignments, our tutors will not answer it. Such questions will be flagged and your request will be canceled. Our tutors are here to support your learning journey and provide valuable resources for understanding the subject matter.

Submitting a Paper for Review

When submitting a paper for review, select 'Writing' as the subject, regardless of your course. Professional writing tutors will review and provide feedback on academic papers. Our professional tutors are equipped to provide feedback on:

  • Essay structure and organization

  • Grammar and syntax

  • Argument and evidence

  • Citation and referencing

Tutors will provide a response by uploading a file or providing their response in the text box.
