Ways to make the most of Knack

This a breakdown of the best ways to use the Knack platform as a tutor.

Offering Private 1-on-1 Tutoring Sessions

This is the best way to get started tutoring on Knack. 

How to offer:

  • Make sure to create a complete and accurate profile that sells your skills.

  • Once you have created your profile, selected the course(s) you want to tutor, you will get listed on Knack

  • Students needing help will search their course on Knack and find you, from there, they'll shoot you a session request to meet up and get help.

  • You can be proactive about getting students by marketing your tutor profile

Small Private Group Tutoring Sessions

Once you have some experience under your belt, it is easy to start ramping up your business by letting your students invite their friends to sessions.

How to offer:

  • Watch this video

  • Make sure to turn on "group sessions" in your settings.

  • If you are working with a student individually, let them know that they can invite their classmates to earn referral bonus’ and discounts.

  • Your students can also choose to set a session to “public”. This means that it will be listed as a joinable session within the Knack app, if another student chooses to join the session your original student will still get a discount. 

Offer Public Sessions

No need to wait for students to request you. You can create and list an open session in the app and on your profile. This is perfect if you 

How to offer:

  • Simply create a session for a course and set it to public. 

  • Utilize our marketing guide to help you best advertise your offering.

Offer Exam Review Sessions

This is the way to take your business to the next level. If you are very confident in your tutoring abilities (Experienced, past TA, etc) you can create and offer exam review sessions. You make the appropriate content (practice problems, reviews, guides etc), and present them to your students during the review session.
