When you complete a session on Knack, you'll get feedback from the student in the form of a rating and review. Ratings are on a scale from 1-5, 5 being the best. We take the average of your session ratings to display your overall 'Rating' on your tutor profile. In addition to ratings, text reviews are optionally left by students for each session. These are also displayed on your tutor profile.

How do I get session feedback?

  1. Complete your session. Feedback collection is triggered upon the completion of the session. Log the session duration to complete your session and unlock session feedback.

  2. Mention the importance of the review. Say something like, "I'd really appreciate it if you left a thoughtful review of our session together. It's really beneficial for me as a tutor", or simply ask "Can you please leave me a review?

  3. Review your reviews. Peer feedback is tremendously important in helping you grow as a tutor. Make sure that you read every review and that you learn from the constructive criticism that may be included. To do so, simply head to Profile > Student Reviews.

Best Practices

  • Don't simply ask for a positive review, provide an exceptional experience so that your student wants to offer one.

  • Don't take negative feedback personally. As long as the feedback is constructive and specific, it will allow you to improve as a tutor.

FAQs

Can I remove a review that a student left me?
As of right now, you cannot remove reviews from students. If a review is untrue or offensive, please contact support.

Why can't I find the student's review of my session?
If you don't see your student's review of the session, they didn't leave one. We recommend you reach out to the student and politely ask them to leave a review of the session.
