It's completely okay to take a break from tutoring, you just need to make sure it's reflected in the system so students don't reach out to you during this time!
You must make sure to temporarily disable the courses you tutor by going to Profile → Tutoring preferences → Disable all courses.
You can double check to see that your courses are disabled by clicking on Profile → Tutoring courses. The DISABLED status should show above your each of your courses.
Whenever you are ready to jump back into tutoring, you can enable them again by going to Profile → Tutoring preferences → Enable all courses.
