Updating Your Subject Coverage

You can decide which of the above subjects you’d like to offer to your students, although we encourage you to match coverage to your peer tutoring program. In addition, you can enable or disable both on-demand and asynchronous tutoring altogether. If you’d like to update your program’s configuration for professional tutoring, please reach out to your Partner Success Manager.

Peer vs. Professional Tutoring: Knack’s Perspective on Supporting Students

While professional tutors exist on Knack to ensure that no student is left entirely unsupported, this resource should not be viewed as a replacement for peer tutors. The value that students gain from working with someone who has recently taken their exact course is so significant that subject-level general expert tutoring is really no comparison.

While peer tutoring and professional tutoring each have their own unique benefits, they are not meant to be used exclusively. In fact, using both types of tutoring can create a great mix of academic support for students. By using peer tutors for ongoing support and on-demand tutors for quick help, your students can get the best of both worlds and maximize their academic success.
